As part of the regeneration of this restaurant area of Bahrain a series of disparate buildings and streets were linked through the expression of materials and special hierarchy. Levels across the site were made to be even so that the reduction of kerbs and roads added to the sense of an urban plaza. Running along the spine of the site was proposed a pedestrian only corridor spaces that was highlighted with nodes and points of interest to create a sense of journey. Sculpture and subtle changes in colour of the paving allowed people to move from one district to the next with a sense of navigation.
