A residential commission for a private client in Fulham, wishing to create a distinctive space that was both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Key to the design of the space was a beautiful cherry tree, framed by a screen and seating feature. This allowed a focal point to be created with screened views into the garden. Boundary wall treatments were simple climbers, which were accentuated with a strategically positioned lighting and feature planting. Natural stone was introduced for the paving as well as wood around the house, which allowed a seamless inside/outside space to be achieved without a change of level. The integration of the living areas within the home and into the garden to create an external living room was integral to this project
